Entrepreneur turns bottles into towels

Please find out more about our article with WBBM HERE

Kerry Farris is the Founder and CEO of OnceAgainHome.

The consultant from LaGrange got into the business of selling towels out of recycled plastic bottles.

"What we're trying to do is get people to use less paper towels- less paper products by using our towels, some of our sponges napkins as replacements."

The bottles are broken down and refined into yarn woven into a towel or napkin.

Farris told the WBBM Noon Business hour that she got the idea during the opening days of the COVID-19 pandemic and that her business background allowed her to hit the ground running.

"I was able to get the samples done quite quickly," she added. "We relied a lot on friends and family. We already knew what shows and retailers we wanted to present this to."
